We decided despite the really hot summer days Arizona has, a trip to the Phoenix Zoo would be fun! We packed a nice picnic lunch, yes the zoo lets you bring in outside food and drinks, and headed out. The kids were excited. The heat never seems to bother them as long as there is something to drink in their little hands! It was around 102 degrees and surprisingly it wasn't as unbearable as one would think!
We walked half the zoo, snapped a decent amount of pictures (most of the pretty desert plants since many animals were hiding in the trees and shade), ate lunch and headed home. It was a fun morning/afternoon.
