With the possibility of needing to move in the next month, it was time to tackle the kitchen. We had big dreams for this kitchen. Sadly, those plans didn't include moving so soon. We decided to go the less expensive route and refinished the cabinets. We also installed new wood floors throughout the kitchen, entry area, and hallway. They came out amazing and make this kitchen look completely different!

Metal Detecting And Gold Prospecting...
Marc came home with a new toy... a metal detector. The boys were so excited to try and find treasures in the backyard. After not finding much, they switched to gold prospecting. That, too, didn't yield much! There's always next time!

New Finish On Bathroom Cabinets...
The Rustoleum kits for cabinets are an excellent option for keeping a cabinet renovation project under budget. It is a little time consuming but the end product is beautiful. Redoing the cabinet along with changing out the shower tile (it used to be a very pretty pink and included a handicap bar!) made a huge difference on this not so roomy main bathroom.

New Floors Upstairs...
Though the hallway flooring wasn't awful, it was cracking and chipping way. The worse part about this flooring was how it joined to linoleum in the kitchen, carpet in the living room, and tile in the entry way. Who likes to see 4 different flooring options within the first 5 feet inside a home?! NOT me! We ripped out the hallway laminate, entry way time, and linoleum kitchen flooring. Now when you enter our home, you see one cohesive floor that joins to the carpeted areas. So much better!

We Have Light In The Pantry...
My father in law is a rock star. Gaining access to this area in the attic is NOT easy. He spent several hours wiring this light inside our pantry. It's perfect!

Flagstaff Chocolate Walk...
3 of my homeschooling mom friends invited me along to the annual Flagstaff Chocolate Walk. We paid $5 and walked around downtown Flagstaff collecting chocolate samples. We stopped for lunch at a local eatery, snacked at the local candy store, and enjoyed baked goods from a very delicious local bakery. Now that's how to spend a Saturday with friends!

Maia The Menace...
She did it again! This time she broke a fan blade right off the ceiling fan. This kid always finds a way to be a menace! She's lucky she's cute!
