AZ Natural History Museum...
Aka "The Dino Museum"
I decided to take the 3 younger kids with my friend Sarena and her son Gauge to the Arizona Natural History Museum. The boys enjoyed the first few dinosaur bones but then got board quick. Luckily we found an entire room full of activities. We were only at the museum for a couple hours but the kids had a fun 2 hours. Before leaving we attempted to pan for gold but we were pretty certain there was not gold left!

17 Months Old...

Looking at Maia, you would never know she is 17 months old. She is finally over 18lbs! She still fits in her infant car seat carrier. People are constantly guessing she's shy of being 1 yrs old which at this point isn't even close anymore. She is still in 12 months clothing and some if it is still big on her. She hates shoes. She loves going bye-byes. When tired she will say yes and shake her head when asked if she wants to go nite-nites. She will even run to the gate and try to get it open. She is slowly mastering the staircase. Just like Rosalia she finds all trouble so even though she can handle the stairs, gates are a must to keep her out of as much trouble as possible. She loves blocks, books, music, and dancing. She will majority of the time give kisses willingly. Throughout the school days, she will often call for the older kids. It's so very sweet. When they come home she is quick to say hi while smiling ear to ear. She LOVES babies. She LOVES pictures. She loves identifying who's in the pictures. Her little voice is very cute. She can now say mama, daddy, nana (Liliana), bubba (Dillon), the sounds of Garrison, Rosalia, and Ava, Papa, what sounds like Grandma, cup, bye-bye, nite-nite, ooky (cookie), oosh (shoes), hi, up, turtle, cereal, ice (ice cream), noodles, go, move, "ocha" (Mocha), doggy, Minnie (Minnie mouse), book, and TONS of unknown words in the form of cute babbling! She can hold her own with the older 5 kids. She is sometimes even the instigator with Garrison and Rosalia battles. She will walk up, snatch something from them, run away crying as if they did something but really she started it. She's a little stinker! Speaking of stinking, when asked if she's dirty she will sometimes go and lay next to the diaper bin waiting to be changed. She is a great eater but we are starting to notice she doesn't favor meat as much as her fruits and veggies. If allowed she would graze all day long rather than sit and eat a meal. She's not much of a cuddler except when she's tired. She sleeps through the night in her crib. Takes 1-2 naps depending on the days schedule. She's cuter than ever, growing wonderfully, and definitely the baby!Saturday, September 14, 2013

Change Me...
The last few weeks, we have noticed Maia going to the diaper basket and pulling at wipes and diapers wanting to be changed. Tonight she fussed at me, grabbed the wipes, laid down next to the diaper basket, held up her shirt, and lifted her legs up at me! I hope this means a sign of early potty training! I'm so ready to be done diapering kids!
