I have a love hate relationship with field trips. Especially ones that include several hours ride on a bus to the destination. The Meteor Crater is a little over 2 hours one way, up north. That's a very LONG bus ride when on a bus with 50-60 5th graders! The girls kept busy with boyfriend games. You now those silly games where you say a number, letter, shape, etc. Then they use a key to change those numbers, letters, shapes, etc into names, places, and dates. Then they make a silly story about their future life. While the boys, played charades with each other's iPhones! While the way 5th graders occupy their time has changed a bit with technology... it's still similar to when we were their age. Once we arrived at the meteor crate, we began exploring the grounds. You could walk the rim and use the scopes to see into the center of the massive crater, explore the museum area, and watch a short video on how the crater was formed and where meteors come from. While the crater is just a hole in the ground, the kids did learn some fun things while on this field trip. That's all that matters when you drive 4 plus hours round trip for an hour field trip... right?!!!

Fishing With Mocha...
Mocha enjoyed a nice short mile run and then got stuck with Maia while she fished. I say Mocha was stuck because Maia kept her leash locked tight near her chair. Mocha is such a champ with all the things Maia does to her.

Constitution Fair 2016...
Marc and I took the kids down to the Civic Center in Gilbert to check out the Constitution Fair. It was our first time attending this annual event. The kids had a blast participating in as much as they could. Signing the inflatable Constitution excited the middle aged kids as they learned about it the previous week at school.

Secret Reader...
Grandma surprised Rosalia at school and read a book about a little boy trying to call his grandma but keeps getting wild animals on the phone. The kids enjoyed the story and Rosalia was extremely excited for Grandma to visit her classroom. (Papa did tag along but this was all Grandma)

9/11 Service..
Our local MOMS club decided we would show our appreciation for the local first responders and deliver cookies to them. Anytime you bring sometime to a forestation, you're almost guaranteed a tour and some time chatting with the firemen! They love visitors and it was incredibly rewarding for my kids to see how appreciated the firemen were for their thoughtful/kind act.

5 Seconds Of Summer...
5SOS!!!! These two were so over the moon excited for this concert. For months, they counted down. For weeks, the face timed about it. For days, they spent "fan girling" about it! Openers included Roy English and Hey Violet. The girls had a memorable night and it will only take my ears a couple days to heal from all the girl screams I listened to for several hours!
