Reenactment Of The Stations Of The Cross...

Dillon and his religion class reenacted the Stations of the Cross during RE tonight.  They all did such a wonderful job.  The younger grades even participated.  What a nice way to educate and involve the children in our faith.

Out Of Africa...

Papa and Grandma came up for the day and we all went to Out of Africa.  It was our first time and we were all very entertained from the moment we entered the gate.  First up was feeding the giraffes.  They pretty much took food from every person on the bus' hands.  We were driven through the area in an open bus were we were up close to many different animals.  After the bus ride, we took the "train" on a tour through the entire park.  It was an extra fee but well worth the money.  The driver stopped at almost every animal exhibit and fed many of them.  By feeding them, we got to see them all which many zoo goers didn't always get.  One of the funnest animals were the hyenas.  He actually got them to laugh.  What interesting sounds they make.  Another entertaining exhibit were the Lemurs.  He held grapes and sang the Madagascar song "We like to move it move it" while moving the grapes so that it looked like the lemurs were dancing.  The kids couldn't stop laughing.  It was a very fun day.  As we were exiting the park, there was a zookeeper holding a yellow lizard letting children hold it.  Garrison, Ava, and Maia all got a chance.  Their faces were priceless.  Excitement mixed with fear.

Craft Room Is Almost Done...

Dad brought the last of the cabinets up.  He did an AMAZING job taking another drawing of mine and turning it into beautiful furniture.  Now to get the last of my craft items settled and Marc to finish the drywall.  It's coming along!

Goodbye Horrible Tint...

The tint on this massively large window was awful.  It was bubbled and just looked crappy.  Marc and I finally got it down.  What a messy and stinky job.  Literally, it made the entire upstairs stink until we were all done and got the scrap pieces in a trash bag and out to the trash can!

Pretty and Ugly Feet...

Maia noticed my freshly painted toes and insisted I paint hers.  For some reason, Marc volunteered her the opportunity to paint his toes.  Even with paint he still has to ugly feet but kudos for being a good sport about Maia painting his nails!

Pit Stop To See Great Grandma Simpson...

On our way down to Gilbert, we stopped off to see Great Grandma Simpson.  As excited as she was to see them, they were over the moon excited to see her!

Visit With Kristen and Cora...

Kristen came to visit Gilbert.  Just because I don't live down there anymore wasn't going to be a reason not to squeeze in a visit!  She brought her newest child with her, baby Cora.  She's ADORABLE!  I expect nothing less though.  All Kristen's kids are beautiful!  We spent the day grabbing donuts from Bosa, lunch from SoCal's Fish Taco Company, and getting much needed Pedicures.  The day went by fast but we did manage to snap a couple pictures before it was time to call it a day.
