We Invade The Yegge's

Since the Yegge's came and visited us in April, we went and visited them at the end of May. It works out nicely, they only live about an hour from Disneyland and that is where we were headed on vacation. The Yegge children are all the same age as ours minus a 5 yr old (we have 1 extra kid then they do!!)
While visiting the dad's bonded with the babies! The kids played numerous games! They roasted marshmallows at the end of a fun filled day! Most importantly, we enjoyed each others company despite the adults being outnumbered 9 to 4!

Happy 7th Birthday Dillon...

Today Dillon turned 7! He requested a hockey puck cake and cheeseburger cupcakes to share with his friends at school! The cheeseburger cupcakes were a hit! How could they not be, look how cute they are!

As usual, Daddy got the birthday bouquet of balloons for the birthday boy!

This cake wouldn't have been such a success without the cute cake size hockey sticks made by Papa!

Dillon had no trouble blowing out his candles!
He thought he got another bucket of legos but was confused when he saw the words K-nex on the bucket!

If you ask Dillon what his favorite part of his birthday was he might tell you losing his FIRST tooth! What a birthday!

These days Dillon is 48 inches tall and weighs 49 pounds! He enjoys reading about animals, doing crafts with his sisters, and playing video games with his father! He is a sweet, kind boy! He is growing up so fast but I am so proud of who he is growing up to be!

Happy Birthday Dillon!

Happy 10th Birthday Liliana...

10 Years! 10 Years! 10 Y.E.A.R.S! Liliana was born exactly 10 years ago today! Every time a birthday goes by I seem to say the same thing "the years fly by"! 10 Years seems so long ago, yet when I look at Liliana, I flashback to the exact time she entered the world. In my mind, it doesn't seem like 10 years ago. It really feels like it was just yesterday and someone hit the fast forward button!

These days Liliana is blossoming into a "tweenager". She has specific taste in clothing, music, and tv shows. She likes to voice her opinion A LOT. Like I said, she is growing fast these days!

Liliana has a LOVE for anything and everything art. Every year she participates in our local school's art program after school. She enjoys the outdoors. Swimming, biking, hiking! She has grown like a weed this last year and is almost as tall as me! Our Doctor is predicting she will be taller than me and possibly Marc.

She is a great helper around the house. Kind to her siblings (most of the time). Doesn't mind showing affection to both parental units but we know those days are numbered!

Each year my goal is to make each child's birthday special. I try to take advantage of some local "birthday freebies", one of which includes a free birthday breakfast. In honor of their special day we give the children their choice of fun activity to do. They get to pick what special treat they bring to school, what cake they want, and 1 special activity to do either by themselves with just us or as a family. This year she picked Pizza Cookies for her school snack, a pool themed cake, and her special activity was a joint decision with Dillon (since both birthdays are in May) for a dinner at Goofy's Kitchen when we go to Disney in a couple weeks!

Happy Birthday Liliana!

Pirate Play...

Liliana was a great pirate in her 4th grade play. She was extra stylish as well, since I was volunteered to make 124 pirate head wraps. The school plays never get old. I don't have all that many pictures since I was busy video recording her performance!
