Look out Arizona roads, this teen is permitted to drive with a responsible adult in the vehicle! Yikes! In all seriousness, she passed on her first attempt. Now I know, you're all thinking "Why would she need more than 1 attempt?"
Well let me put it this way, there were 11 other teens at the DMV testing for their permits... ALL 11 were on their second, third, fourth, and even fifth attempt at passing the dreaded learners permit.
I'm not gonna lie, that scares me! I'm in shock these parents were so committed to bringing these teens back so many times over?!
Focusing on the good in the world, our daughter studied and rocked her test! 6 months from now, she'll be a licensed driver! EEEK

Ballroom Ava...
One thing Quartz Hill has always been great about is their 5th and 6th grade extra curricular performances. Ava was very willing to sign up for Ballroom after having a blast in Syncronicity earlier in the year. I had no idea how this would turn out but I had no doubts that it would be less than entertaining! The kids worked so very hard. The boys, especially, had worked hard having two girl partners for each dance!

Hockey Fitting...
Garrison finally had some interest in playing hockey. I managed to get him a spot in the Little Howlers Intro To Hockey program. First step, get fitted for gear. His facial expressions were priceless as the guy took all the needed measurements.

Arizona Science Center...
I was very excited to chaperone Garrison's second grade class while we visited the Arizona Science Center. I've never been to the science center but had heard wonderful things about it. My group of boys had so much fun. We enjoyed every square inch of the facility. We spent the most time with the large foam blocks and outdoors with the water play area.

Cookbook Club Is A Go...
Cookbook club was pretty popular in Prescott, so I figured why not try it down in the valley. It's been pretty successful so far. This lovely polaroid was taken by my friend, Miranda. She said "look up" and before I was able to smile, she snapped this gem of a picture! As you can see, we had quite the variety of food to try.

1st Grade "Musical"
Oh how I dream of the day when the music teacher actually has the kids put on a "musical". Until then, I enjoyed their lame faux rap beats and simple arm motions for the whole 12 minute performance! Rosalia did great considering how dry and bland this "performance" was.
One Acts...
Liliana has enjoyed her theater elective so much that she joined the Drama Club. Every year before spring break, 5 seniors are chosen to cast, direct, and perform their winning One Acts. Lillian auditioned and was casted in a act playing a twin in a dysfunctional family. She owned her character and did a great job.

Teach 'Um Young...
Papa Simpson was out trimming his bushes when we stopped by. I am adamant that all the kids learn how to do things like landscaping. Dillon was curious how to use the trimmer so off he went to learn. I happen to snap a picture before he saw. It makes me smile that he is making memories with his grandfather all while learning how to do things that will serve a purpose later in life.

Poor Mocha...
"Poor Mocha"... those are two words I say more times than I care to admit. The crazy thing is, Mocha sometimes goes to Maia. As if she wants Maia to over love her! This afternoon, Mocha decided to jump into the trampoline but quickly regretted that decision as Maia began to jump towards her!
