Mocha Believes She Is Human...

Last night I went to get into bed where Marc was already sleeping and found Mocha laying like this?! Before kicking her out of our bed, I just had to snap a picture!
Then this morning I was loading the kids into the car, when Mocha jumped into the passenger seat and wouldn't get out! I let her ride with me and sure enough she sat on the seat as if she was a human passenger! Eventually she laid down and I snapped this picture!

She Has A Bed...

Rosalia does have a bed but chooses the floor over her bed when sleeping! She also likes to change her clothing. Some days she will layer over what she already has on, while other days she changes out of her clothes to put pajamas on. She will even try and accessorize with headbands and hair bows! Once I found her trying to put every single headband on her head! Needless to say she makes a complete mess of her dresser drawers but at least she's learning how to dress herself!!

Paint With Water...

I LOVED paint with water books when I was growing up.  These days, they aren't as easy to find in the stores.  A couple weeks ago, I ran to Joann Fabrics for some craft items and found paint with water sets in their dollar section.  (That darn dollar section gets me every time!)  I picked up a princess one for Rosalia and a Spiderman one for Garrison.  With Marc starting his new job and expected to work longer days than the kids and I are used to, I figured this would be a fun activity to keep their mind off of the big changes that have begun this week!  Not only did they have a blast making their pictures but were very excited to show Marc when he came home from work.

She Misses Marc...

The kids and I, are adjusting to Marc being gone longer hours at his new job.   Mocha is also adjusting.  Today she sat by the front door window for several hours waiting for Marc to come home.

I'm Gonna Get You...

Maia might be almost 10 months old, but she can hold her own.  She was determined to climb out of the couch corner and tackle Garrison.  As you can see she had a very successful attempt!

Good Bye Petco, Hello Party City...

For 3 years, the owners of Party City have been trying to recruit Marc.  2013 was a successful year for them.  After several meetings, they offered Marc an opportunity he couldn't say no to.  When he gave notice to Petco, many were unhappy of the news.  4 counter-offers were offered but sadly all of the offers required us moving to San Antonio which we were originally ok with but taking into account the Party City offer, Petco's offers weren't even an interesting us.
Marc's last two weeks at Petco, were interesting to say the least.  The first of those two weeks, they were trying desperately to interest him in staying with Petco.  The last week, they were hurt when it was official that he would be leaving.  Things were done that make us happy we chose to leave.  Marc is a stand up guy.  He worked up to his last day.  He made sure all his bases were covered.  He contacted people to ensure every "T" was crossed.  He didn't have to but he felt he had to and wanted to.  Sadly his efforts weren't taken with grace.  Petco's loss that they chose to be so "crummy" when he departed because if the roads cross in the future, I can't say Marc would ever want to work for their company again!
To end this post on a positive note,
Today Marc started his new journey with Party City.  So far he likes it.  He has lots of ideas, big ideas and can't wait to start making his mark on all the positive to come.
He was hired by two brothers, who happen to own all the Party City locations in all of Arizona and New Mexico.  Party City is part corporate and part franchise.  Something we never knew until recently.  Marc is now their COO reporting solely to the owners.  He will work majority of the time out of an office but then will have light travel from time to time.  His schedule won't be near as flexible as it's been these last few years but we will make it work.
I am thankful in an economy that is not so fair to many, we have been blessed with a job that will allow Marc to provide for us all while I continue to stay home with the children.
