New Pictures Of Rosalia...

Today we had our 3rd ultrasound. Rosalia looks wonderful, you would never know that she has caused me so much discomfort and issues given what her ultrasound showed us!! This is one of those days where I am reminded that no matter the pain and discomfort, there is a healthy baby waiting to be born in just 10 more weeks!!

Aside from checking on all her growing organs, the doctors wanted to see if she flipped to the head down position. She sure did. I felt her trying to flip a couple weeks ago, right around the time when my leg pain started to subside! Although its always nice to hear that the baby is head down and "ready to go", part of me was hoping she stayed bottom end down. Not that I "want" a c-section, but it sure would make the months AFTER having her much easier. My plan was to have a c-section and have them tie my tubes at the same time. Bang went that plan. Since I have such nice, easy, and non-risky births... the dr's don't want to mess with that! I can't blame them but that just means surgery AFTER child birth!

After her position and organs were checked they estimated her weight at a healthy 2.8lbs and said she is in the 53rd percentile. NONE of our kids have ever been above the 10th percentile so when the ultrasound tech said her stats, we just looked at her confused!! Maybe we will have a little chunky roly poly baby this time around??!!

New High Chair Cover...

4 years ago, my mother-in-law was given a very old Graco highchair. After calling to make sure it was not on any recall list we cleaned it up and she has been using it ever since. The only drawback to this high chair has been that it has no cover! Normally you can order new ones from Graco but because the chair's age they don't have them available anymore. After doing some searching on the internet, I found a few places that sell oilcloth (the fabric typically used which is completely waterproof) and a few websites with directions on how to draft a pattern! With a few years of sewing under my belt, I decided to order exactly 1 1/2 yrds of oilcloth and make my own pattern! The fabric with shipping cost $10.13! The pattern just took me some time!

It took a little over a week for the fabric to arrive and as soon as it did, I was very anxious to get this project started.

My inlaws brought the chair over last night, I cut and pinned all the pieces together before going to bed. This morning I sewed everything together and wahlah a new high chair cover.

I will admit this fabric is NOT the easiest to work with but given that I have a fully usable high chair cover I can't complain!!

FREE Meal...

Who doesn't love a FREE meal? Today was Chick Fil-a's annual customer appreciation day. All that dressed up like a cow would receive a FREE meal! Kids included!
We couldn't make it for lunch so the kids and I decided to make it an easy dinner. They helped me put together their outfits so that when it was time to head on over we wouldn't take too long getting ready!

The deal was for ANYONE and EVERYONE...which meant... yes even I dressed up as a cow!

Before leaving the children let me take a group picture! They had a headband made from black pipe cleaners and printed out black ears. Black and white shirts and patches. Coordinating shorts. A ribbon tail. A plastic glove blown up to resemble an utter.

As you can see they looked like pretty cute cows and got their FREE meal...which they enjoyed of course!!

26 Weeks...

Still growing and baking...
