The AFHE convention was a 2 day event. It wasn't close enough to justify the drive back and forth. Rather than drive into Phoenix every day from Marc's parent's house, they kept the kids and we spent the night in the beautiful Fountain Hills at the Inn At Eagle Mountain. We had a nice hotel package which gave us champagne and a few other extras. It was such a nice relaxing night to help focus on the convention and all we wanted to take away from it.

Mocha Likes To Sit Like The Kids...
On our way down to the valley today for the homeschool convention, Mocha decided she was going to sit in Ava's booster seat! Silly dog! We hope she'll be a good guest at Aunt Jeneen's house for the night.
Garden Galore With Some Plums To Go With...
The plums came from a sweet neighbor down the road. Her daughter had far too many and they needed to give some away. Knowing I had just handled my fair share of apricots, they decided I was the right person. I made lots of plum goodies. My favorite is pictured above...Plum coffee cake
Meanwhile, the garden is in full swing. The garden is giving us lots of carrots, squash, and potatoes!!

Happy 4th Of July...
Marc away at work, we decided to venture out to Downtown Prescott with our new homeschool friends and enjoy the parade. The parade was a ton of fun. The kids got plenty of free giveaway goodies as you can see. The evening we were spoiled with a firework show right outside our home. We had the most perfect view of the fireworks show being lit off just .20 miles away! Luckily, Marc made it home in time to watch with us!

4th Of July Shirts...
We always seem to do something to coordinate the children on the 4th. This year was no different. They each made their own style shirt. They came out great and it will be so much easy to keep track of them on the 4th!
