A Day With Papa and Grandma...

Though we moved 2 hours away from Papa and Grandma, that doesn't mean we see them any less!  They drive up often for fun filled days with the grandkids.  Today, we took them for a little hike at Lynx Lake and then finished the day playing a few board games.

A Day At Watson Lake...

 Exploring our new area is a new thing we do as a family on Sunday afternoons after church.  Today, we explored Watson Lake.  It's a nice area with beautiful view, lots of fishing locations, a nice play structure for the children, picnic areas, tent campsites for when the weather is a little warmer, and boat launches if you have one.  The wildlife was out in full force.  The fishermen were too.  Sadly, we didn't catch anything but that's ok.  When we have all 6 six kids in one place fishing, it normally doesn't last very long.  Today, was no exception.  I think the kids made it 30 minutes before everyone started melting and we called it a day.

Valentine's Day...

This year, we decided to complete a service project as a family.  The service we all agreed on was making Valentine's Day cards for the senior residents at a local Alzheimer's and Dimentia Home and hand deliver them.  Sadly, upon arriving this morning, the residents were all recovering from the stomach bug and we didn't get to hand deliver them.  The kids still enjoyed making all the cards.  To celebrate such a loving day, the children got a small candy box, bubbles, a small baggy of dum dums and Candy kisses.  They didn't do too bad!
